Viagra Boys - Aint No Thief | Track Review + Concept Design

@viagraboys return with another bloody banger yet again. This time they show off their interesting takes on country-infused post-punk goodness. However, this time that sounds get’s distorted even more into the red, it’s driven by electronic synths and a rolling drum track that will absolutely knock your head right off. ⁣

Viagra Boys are very fluid for their name and able to shape themselves in between the lines of genres. This latest track Aint No Thief starts off with what I can only call a buzz saw synth that jitters in and out; playing up and down a scale in a very high tempo manner. This jittery nature calms down at about 17 seconds in and we start to hear something with more melody but still very aggressive. Which is what we’re wanting from Viagra Boys. ⁣

This track is groovy, you can easily bang your head along to the electronic beat. Personally, I’m a big fan of the bass line on this, proper fat juicy tone. The vocals on this are distorted as if they’re coming out of a speakerphone which works so well for the sarcastic tone that comes the lyrics.⁣

The lyrics of “ I aint no thief” get’s repeated towards the end and then we hear some of those Viagra Boys country elements coming in with a skit being played as a bridge and it works so well for the whole vibe of the track. ⁣

Definitely check this one out when you get the chance.⁣
